The course assessment focuses on your ability to participate in hazard identification processes according to organisational procedures; select and use suitable methods to identify, report and record hazards; provide information and assistance during hazard identification; participate in risk assessment processes; select suitable risk assessment methods; assess and record risks using workplace methods; provide information and assistance during risk assessment; use hazard and risk records to develop control options; identify duty holders; select controls using agreed team criteria; identify and report barriers to implementation; review and document potential control measures for WHS compliance; develop implementation plans using the hierarchy of control; and support consultation, worker participation and issue resolution during hazard identification, risk assessment and control implementation.
By successfully completing this course assessment, you will have demonstrated that you can contribute to workplace hazard identification and risk management by selecting and applying suitable methods, recording hazards and risks, supporting required personnel, identifying duty holders, developing and reviewing control options, planning implementation through the hierarchy of control and supporting consultation and issue resolution processes.
