Six Questions Your Style Encore Franchise Financial Model Must Answer

We built this franchise unit financial model using our own research into the resale fashion sector to provide a detailed franchise profitability analysis. Key assumptions, including the $975,000 Year 1 revenue target and the 4-month break-even timeline, are pre-populated with researched data but remain fully editable for your specific location. Data beats intuition every time when you're signing a lease. Estimating profit margins for a franchise unit is simplified through these pre-built logic sets.

What is theprofitability trajectory?

This unit hits profitability fast, reaching break-even by April 2026, just four months after launch. With Year 1 EBITDA projected at $282,000, the model accounts for the 7% total franchise fees and initial inventory ramp-up. Speed to profit is the primary metric for this unit.

Improve Profitability

  • Optimize inventory buy-back rates
  • Increase average ticket via stylists
  • Control stylist labor hours
  • Reduce packaging supply waste
[dynamic_pic9]

How much capitalis required and how is it allocated?

You will need approximately $385,000 in startup capital requirements to get the doors open. This covers the $25,000 franchise fee, $180,000 for leasehold improvements, and $65,000 for store fixtures. Every dollar is accounted for before you even sign the lease.

Major Capital Uses

  • Leasehold Improvements: $180,000
  • Store Fixtures and Racks: $65,000
  • Initial Display Setup: $30,000
  • Franchise Fee: $25,000
  • POS and Computers: $25,000
[dynamic_pic10]

What is thereturn on investment?

Investors can expect a 3-year payback period on the initial capital outlay using this franchise investment return calculator. The model shows an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 5.84% and a Return on Equity (ROE) of 1.44. Three years is a standard but solid timeline for capital recovery in retail.

Investment Metrics

  • Internal Rate of Return: 5.84%
  • Payback Period: 3 Years
  • Year 5 EBITDA: $493,000
  • Return on Equity: 1.44
[dynamic_pic11]

What is thebreak-even point?

The store reaches break-even in month 4, requiring roughly $81,250 in monthly revenue to cover fixed costs like the $13,000 rent and $22,000 in monthly wages. Volume is your best friend in a high-margin resale model. This break-even analysis is the core of your operational planning.

Reach Break-Even Faster

  • Boost daily foot traffic
  • Upsell via Personal Stylist program
  • Tighten fixed overhead costs
[dynamic_pic12]

What is thecash runway and lowest cash point?

Your lowest cash point is $928,000 in June 2026, which includes your initial funding and early operating expenses for a fashion resale franchise. You need to manage the timing of your $180,000 build-out payments to avoid a liquidity crunch. Cash is oxygen, and this model tracks your breathing.

Protect Cash Flow

  • Phase fixture and furniture purchases
  • Negotiate rent abatement periods
  • Manage inventory cash payouts
  • Delay non-essential sales hires
[dynamic_pic13]

How do Low, Medium, and Highscenarios change the outcome?

A 10% drop in revenue pushes the break-even point back and tightens the Year 1 margin significantly in this financial feasibility study for retail franchise. Conversely, the High Case shows how hitting $1.5M in revenue by Year 5 accelerates your ROI. Stress-testing your assumptions is the best way to sleep at night.

Hit the High Case

  • Aggressive local influencer marketing
  • High stylist sales productivity
  • Premium designer inventory mix
  • Strong repeat customer rate

What I've been looking for
Size: Large (Pack of 1)
Just got my Nero Ball. Only used it once, but really like it. I've tried other "ball on a string" type toys, with unsatisfactory results. I'll be using it as a training reward, and my boy, who is a pretty ferocious tugger, is going to learn 2 new things with this ball. 1st, to target the ball instead of the rope, and 2nd, that it's for a little gentle tugging instead of the full throttle stuff he does otherwise. After our 1st session with the Nero Ball, he's picking up on the new rules quickly. We'll see how it does long term, but I think this is one I'll stay with. *UPDATE* Been using my Nero Ball for a month now. I'm tempted to call it the 'Hero Ball' because it's just that terrific!! For me, the key has been putting in the time to allow both myself & my dog to develop the skill to use this tool smoothly. May sound strange, but using a toy as a training reward requires practice, and each different toy configuration requires different handling. It's time well spent - we're both having a lot of fun! Kudos to the designer of this ball. Every detail has been carefully considered, from the length & material of the rope (just the right length that the dog won't step on it; material is easy on the hand while still being tough enough to withstand a few toothy grabs; the loop is the perfect size to grab for a little tug or to pass the ball through to slip-knot it onto a belt loop). The ball is also just right. The knobs make it non-slip, the rubber eliminates tennis ball fuzz concerns, and being semi-hard and hollow makes it slightly compress-able, which makes it a higher value reward than a solid ball that can't be compressed. While this ball will not work for every application or for every dog, if you carefully read & understand the information provided and don't expect it to work outside those parameters, you will be pleasantly surprised by a very well designed, well constructed tool that you can use to enhance your training or play sessions with your dog.

Nice toy
Size: Large (Pack of 1)
This product is generally durable and easy to throw. However, the original rope knot came undone after just four throws, per my wife. Unfortunately, my knot-tying skills are limited to fishing knots and slip knots, which is on me. While I can't give a perfect score, I believe it deserves a 4.5 out of 5 stars due to the knot issue. A simple solution would be to apply heat shrink tubing over the knot and heat it to secure it, which would enhance its reliability and potentially elevate the rating to a perfect five stars.

Our German Shepherd loves it!
Size: Large (Pack of 1)
Order arrived promptly and in good condition. Our GSD barely let us get it out of the package before wanting to play with it. Works great as training reward and for fetch games. Been using it for three weeks, and it is holding up well.
