We highly recommend that you restrict all of your dog or cat organ supplementation to pastured, or at the very least, grass-finished animals. It is particularly important to consume animals raised on pasture and fed a biologically appropriate diet, which virtually eliminates their risk of various diseases common in confined animal feeding operations, as well as many other dangerous contaminants. Our liver glandular supplement consists of freeze dried, certified pure New Zealand glandular tissue from free-range, antibiotic and hormone free cows (porcine-free!).

How Do Glandular Supplements for Pets Work?
Glandular therapies involve feeding glands, organs or tissues from healthy animals to dogs and cats. Supplements are given either as fresh tissue or as tissue extracts in the hope that the supplement contains constituents that will help improve the function of the corresponding organ in the animal. One of the basic concepts of glandular therapy is that the oral ingestion of glandular material of a certain animal gland will strengthen the corresponding dog or cat gland. More Advanced Usage
In the case of high liver enzymes, liver disease or other issues provide 1/2 tsp (approx. 800 mg) per 20 lbs daily.

Storage: Store at room temperature away from heat and moisture.

Important: It is not appropriate to feed too much liver. If your dog or cat's diet includes significant amounts of liver, such as may be found in certain prepared raw or similar pet food diets, your dog or cat may not need this supplement.
