Muriel Blanco Rioja 2024 (Spain)Bright pale yellow, with greenish reflections. Intense and fresh, with floral and fruity notes: white pear, apple and citrus fruits. Juicy, tasty and harmoniously acidic. Fresh and pleasing, with a good persistence. Vineyards in Elciego (Rioja Alavesa). Continental Mediterranean, with a strong Atlantic influence. Clay limestone soils, organically poor. 100% Viura, of an average slightly over 20 years old, mostly grown in trellis trained system.

Bright pale yellow, with greenish reflections. Intense and fresh, with floral and fruity notes: white  pear, apple and citrus fruits. Juicy, tasty and harmoniously acidic.  Fresh and pleasing, with a good persistence.

Vineyards in Elciego (Rioja Alavesa). Continental Mediterranean, with a strong Atlantic influence. Clay-limestone soils, organically poor. 100% Viura, of an average slightly over 20 years old, mostly grown in trellis-trained system.

Harvested by hand, during the second half of September. A gentle pressing and 3-hour skin maceration to achieve a high aroma intensity. A small part of the wine ferments in French oak barrels. The rest in stainless steel vats under temperature control in order to enhance its aromas and freshness. Part of it is kept in French oak barrels prior to its bottling.

Food Pairing: Green and fruit salads. All kind of fish: smoked, fried, baked... Very specially, grilled fish. Steamed shellfish. Paella, seafood pasta and sushi. It is ideal by the glass, as aperitif.

I recently picked up the Sparkle Pick-A-Size Paper Towels (6 pack) and overall I’m pretty happy with them. The pick-a-size feature is really convenient because you can tear off a smaller sheet for quick spills instead of wasting a full one. For everyday kitchen messes—wiping counters, small spills, or drying hands—they work perfectly well. They’re also reasonably absorbent and the rolls seem to last a decent amount of time, especially when using the smaller sheet sizes. For the price, it feels like a good value compared to some of the more expensive brands. The reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that they’re not quite as thick or strong as the premium paper towels out there. For bigger or really messy cleanups, I sometimes end up using two sheets. Overall though, these are a solid everyday paper towel that get the job done and help reduce waste with the pick-a-size option. I’d definitely buy them again.
