Operation and Maintenance

The Fenix HM61R V2.0 is designed with user convenience in mind. The large side switch allows for easy operation:

• On/Off: Press and hold the side switch for 0.5 seconds to enter white light mode or double-click to enter red light mode. To turn off, press and hold the switch for 0.5 seconds.
• Output Selection: In white light mode, single-click the side switch to cycle through Eco, Low, Medium, High, and Turbo. In red light mode, single click to cycle through Red Low, Red Medium, and Red Flash.
• Mode Switching: Press and hold the side switch for 1.2 seconds to switch between white and red modes.
• Lock/Unlock: To lock, press, and hold the switch for 3 seconds when the lamp is off. The lamp will blink red four times to indicate locked status. To unlock, press and hold the switch for 3 seconds; the lamp will blink red four times and activate on Red Low.

Battery Replacement:

• Unscrew the cap to insert the battery with the anode side (+) facing inside, then screw the cap back on.

Charging:

• Connect the USB port of the charging cable to the power source. Hold the magnetic end of the charging cable close to the charging port of the headlamp. The cable will attach automatically, and charging will begin. The indicator will display red while charging and turn green when fully charged. Charging time from depletion to full is approximately 4 hours for the Fenix ARB-L18-3400 battery.

Battery Level Indication:

• With the lamp off, single-click the switch to check the battery status. The indicator will last for 3 seconds.
  • Green light on: 100% - 85%
  • Green light flashes: 85% - 50%
  • Red light on: 50% - 25%
  • Red light flashes: 25% - 1%

Low-Voltage Warning:

• The headlamp will downshift to a lower brightness level when the voltage level drops below the preset level until Low output is reached. It will blink three times every 10 minutes in Low output mode to remind you to recharge or replace the battery.

Intelligent Overheat Protection:

• To prevent overheating, the lamp will step down a few lumens when the temperature reaches 65°C or above. Once the temperature drops, it will allow reselection of High or Turbo modes.

Headband Assembly:

• Adjust the headband by sliding the buckle to the required length. Assemble the top headband to better secure the headlamp.

Usage and Maintenance:

• Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage and void the warranty. Fenix recommends using high-quality batteries and periodic cleaning of battery contacts to maintain optimal performance.

• Keep the headlamp out of reach of children and do not shine it directly into eyes. Avoid using the headlamp inappropriately, such as biting in the mouth, to prevent personal injury. The headlamp generates heat; handle with care to avoid burns. Turn off and lock the headlamp or remove the battery to prevent accidental activation in closed and flammable environments.

• This headlamp will accumulate a lot of heat while working, resulting in a high temperature of the headlamp shell. Pay attention to safe use to avoid scalding.
• Turn off and lock the headlamp or remove the battery from the headlamp to prevent accidental activation when the headlamp is placed in a closed and flammable environment such as pockets and backpacks!
• The LED of this headlamp is not replaceable; so the whole headlamp should be replaced when the LED reaches the end of its life.
