ON SEMICONDUCTOR MC78M05CTG Linear Voltage Regulator, 7805, Fixed, Positive, 10V To 35V In, 5V And 0.5A Out, TO-220-3The MC78M05CTG is a Positive Voltage Regulator identical to the popular MC7800 series devices, except it is specified for only half the output current. The MC78M00 three terminal regulator is intended for local, on card voltage regulation. Internal current limiting, thermal shutdown circuitry and safe area compensation for the internal pass transistor combine to make these linear voltage regulator remarkably rugged under most operating conditions.
