THE HEAVENS, THE WORD, & THE GLORY OF GODLast night after supper I gathered my family Glenn and Bo and we headed outside for a nice evening walk to the waters edge. Simultaneously the sun slid from its daytime position while vibrant hues of pink, purple, and a soft hue of yellow made way for the night sky. It was the sacred stillness in the air that made the water turn into one oversized mirror reflecting the sky above on top of the water. It is by far the prettiest sunset Id ever

Last night after supper I gathered my family - Glenn and Bo — and we headed outside for a nice evening walk to the water’s edge. Simultaneously the sun slid from its daytime position while vibrant hues of pink, purple, and a soft hue of yellow made way for the night sky. It was the sacred stillness in the air that made the water turn into one oversized mirror reflecting the sky above on top of the water. It is by far the prettiest sunset I’d ever experienced to date. I had left my phone back at home so I asked G to quickly snap a few pictures. He did.

Fast forward to this afternoon. I open a text from G to find this — his newest piece capturing a small glimpse of God’s glory on display.

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard.
Psalm 19:1

The psalmist, David, looked to the heavens — not the spiritual heaven where God is enthroned, but the heavens of the blue sky and the night sky — and he clearly saw the glory of God declared.
