This undyed Rambouillet wool top is a fine, resilient spinning fiber valued for its softness, elasticity, and smooth drafting. Prepared as a combed top, the fibers are aligned parallel and the shorter fibers have been removed, creating a clean preparation that drafts easily and spins into consistent yarn.

Often compared to Merino for its softness, Rambouillet offers slightly more structure and elasticity. The fiber’s defined crimp produces yarns with excellent memory and bounce, helping garments retain their shape while remaining comfortable against the skin.

Naturally off-white and undyed, this wool top is also well suited for hand dyeing, absorbing color evenly with acid dyes and other protein-fiber dye methods.
