The catalogue from the1990 sale at Sotheby's of The Ava Gardner Collection (London 21st November 1990). The catalogue consists of 324 lots, all illustrated mostly in colour and described in detail. Catalogue is in excellent condition. "Opening night dresses, more than 70 pairs of shoes and furniture belonging to the late actress Ava Gardner brought $680,300 at Sotheby's London auction house. Sotheby's officials said the contents from her elegant London apartment attracted interest from American and European fans and dealers. Among the clothes auctioned were the pink sequined halter-neck dress Gardner wore to the opening night of The Barefoot Contessa in Tokyo and a silk negligee and gown from the film The Cassandra Crossing." A must have for any fan.
