Malachite was used as a mineral pigment in green paints from antiquity until c. 1800. The pigment is moderately lightfast, sensitive to acids, and varying in color. This natural form of green pigment has been replaced by its synthetic form, verditer, among other synthetic greens.

Malachite is also used for decorative purposes.

A 17th-century Spanish superstition held that having a child wear a lozenge of malachite would help them sleep, and keep evil spirits at bay. It has also historically been worn for protection from lightning and contagious diseases and for health, success, and constancy in the affections. During the Middle Ages it was customary to wear it engraved with a figure or symbol of the Sun to maintain health and to avert depression.

In ancient Egypt the colour green (wadj) was associated with death and the power of resurrection as well as new life and fertility. Ancient Egyptians believed that the afterlife contained an eternal paradise, referred to as the "Field of Malachite", which resembled their lives but with no pain or suffering.

Color may vary in images and videos due to different lightings and angles.

I love the SPF 15, but it is so hard to find in stores. I love that I could get it on Amazon!

Only SPF 15. Best For Overcast Days or Less Exposure.
I love Coppertone Sport sunscreens because they stay on longer than many and don't drip painful lotion into my eyes when I sweat. This spray-on version is only SPF 15, so, as a fair person, I can use it in direct sun only for 30-60 minutes of exposure or if I'm outside during an overcast day when, yes, I can still burn. SPF blocks 93% of the sun's rays, which sounds like a lot until you consider that SPF 50 blocks 98% of the rays. Sprays like this are especially useful if I'm by myself and need to reach difficult places such as my back. For the rest of me, I spray my skin, then rub in for complete coverage. For my face and neck, I spray into my hands, then apply to those areas. You don't want to spray directly on your face when you can inhale it or get it in your eyes. If you don't have sun-sensitive skin or don't expect to be in direct sunlight for long, then this is a great option for easy application. Just make sure you apply enough of it and reapply throughout the day. -- Debbie Lee Wesselmann

Summer Essential at great price
Great deal ahead of the summer sun. Product was the perfect match for my golf trip. Felt like it held up even in the heat and sweaty environment.

Great sunburn protection for beach days
Style: Sunscreen Lotion 70 SPF, Size: 6.7 Fl Oz (Pack of 1), Style: Sunscreen Lotion 70 SPF, Size: 6.7 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
If you burn easily like I do, this sunscreen is an absolute lifesaver. I used it during a full day out in the intense sun and beach heat, and it protected my skin perfectly—not a single spot of redness! What I love most is that it works beautifully for both the face and body. It applies smoothly, absorbs quickly, and doesn't leave that heavy, suffocating white cast that a lot of high-SPF sunscreens do. It also handles sweat and water incredibly well without running into my eyes and stinging. It has a nice, subtle beachy scent that isn’t overpowering. This is officially my go-to sunscreen for outdoor activities!
