AMY TAGUA NECKLACE. Amy means beloved. This gal and this necklace are just that! It’s the quintessential tagua piece, an easy to wear style of sliced tagua. I especially love her with a simple Tshirt or sundress. Her light weight and organic material makes her great for warm weather. Matching earrings sold separately.

Tagua can be found in the best boutiques to add an organic, earthy vibe to all your looks. Our various shapes, sizes and colors can be styled to fit any look from coastal preppy to cool boho. TAGUA BELLA is designed by me in collaboration with the talented artisans in my region of Ecuador. Each is artisan-made by hand. TAGUA BELLA is fair-trade, purchased from the maker, and making a difference in their lives.

Tagua is a nut from a palm tree, found only in South America. Most is found in Ecuador, in my Manabi region along the coast. It is commonly called vegetable ivory. It is so close in makeup and appearance, it is difficult to distinguish from animal ivory. Gathering the fallen tagua, has many benefits economically and naturally sustains the rainforest. It causes no harm, unlike the cruel world of sourcing animal ivory. Our beads are the nut of açaí  berries, commonly referred to and sold as tagua. Like tagua, açaí is a nut from a palm tree, found in South America’s equatorial rainforests.

Each is unique and will vary slightly from photos. Tagua has natural shapes and sizes. Please allow for slight differences that are not flaws. We hand check each piece for quality and offer a 100% Happiness Guarantee. If you are unsatisfied for any reason, contact us within 14 days for a returned item refund or replacement. See our policy in the menu.

Don’t miss out on our coordinating bracelets and earrings. Tagua makes a beautiful gift! Ecuador’s treasure is yours! Muchas Gracias!

Amazing primer/sunscreen, even for olive skin.
I was a bit hesitant to try this primer because of its yellow color, since I am Anglo-Indian with olive skin (a little darker than Jennifer Lopez). But it says it is for "all skin types" so I tried it anyway. And I am really glad I did. This product blends in really well to the skin to become translucent. It does leave my face a little paler, but what does one expect with zinc and titanium dioxide? The paleness may also be in part because I apply a lot of it, since I use it as my facial sunscreen on most days. What I do is then apply a light dusting of powder to make my skin tone back to normal again. It is a lovely soft and moussy consistency that spreads easily and evenly on my face. My powder goes on flawlessly over it, which is a far cry from what powder looks like on my face without this primer. The powder doesn't settle into my facial lines either. All in all, this product is amazing. Don't be put off buy the yellow color. Try it!

This is the best primer for your face, you just need a dot and spread evenly over your face. Sometimes this is all I wear.. it’s light not heavy and natural looking.

Love!
I love this product! I'm in my early 50s, and though I take good care of my skin I do have some more-than-fine lines, especially around my eyes (crow's feet). I won't say this primer erases those lines, but it manages to smooth out my skin enough that they look less noticeable (but still noticeable, don't get me wrong... only plastic surgery and Botox will fix that). I often wear this without any other makeup. It has the effect of smoothing and softening the look of your skin and minimizing pores, kind of like using a soft lighting filter and Photoshop photo editing software! It makes my face look softer, if that makes sense. Love it, love how smooth it feels on my skin. Don't love the smell (not that it's overly cloying), but it disappears quickly. One bottle lasts a loooong time, as in months and months, because a little goes a long way.

SLIGHTLY SMOOTHER BUT NOT BRIGHTER SKIN
Used it years ago as "Line Tamer"...same product, more money, but a nice primer for liquid, cream or powder foundations. It doesn't tame the lines much, which is likely why the name was changed...I have pink skin...this really doesn't help with that, but does provide a smooth base on which to begin your makeup application...I like it, even at the relatively expensive price as I use loose powder foundation and like the smooth appearance it lends to my makeup. I see zero "brightening" effect...
