A traditional tool to help cut the wire around the bark or the branches of a bonsai tree. After its training is complete, removing the wires is a delicate job.
Suwada's wire cutter has been the preferred tool for Japanese bonsai growers for more than 70 years. The head is designed to cut the wire only without touching the bark or the branch with its blades.
In terms of sizes, the large cutter is ideal for thick wires (over 3mm). The small size is better for those who use thin wire but prefer to hold the cutter while wiring a tree.
This wire cutter is hand forged, shaped, and sharpened.
Available in two sizes, and packed inside a traditional box, this is a perfect tool for anyone interested in starting to train bonsai trees.
Made to perform at high standards for a long time, using Japanese high carbon steel. It has a thin coating to prevent rust. Minimum maintenance is required. Just wipe the blades with some oil to prevent oxidation.
