10X Athletic don’t use:

Illegal & potentially unsafe stimulants. It’s just not how we roll. We pride ourselves on fuelling athletes of all abilities including Olympic and professional athletes. So, illegal or unsafe stimulants just don’t cut it with us.

Banned ingredients on WADA list. Enough said.

Proprietary blends. All our labels are fully transparent so you know exactly what you’re getting in every scoop. No nasties. No surprises.

Bad Science. Specifically we avoid using ingredients with poor science to back up their efficacy. Plenty of pre-workouts are packed full of cheap ingredients or ingredients with little or no science to back up their claims. We don’t do that.

Taurine. Did you know some brands add Taurine to their caffeinated pre-workouts and it actually makes their pre-workouts WORSE. Crazy, right? Did you know taurine and caffeine have opposite effects on your central nervous system? Caffeine is a powerful stimulant whereas taurine is an agonist for the inhibitory gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA) receptors. Did you know combining caffeine and taurine has NO tangible effect on your cardiorespiratory fitness, strength, power or cognitive ability? If anything it may have a detrimental effect on the pre-workout you are consuming. A 2017 study noted that combining taurine and caffeine actually INCREASED the feeling of FATIGUE. It Appears adding taurine to caffeinated pre-workouts is not a smart choice for the informed trainer who is looking for that pre-workout boost.
