Overview of the Streamlight Infrared Filter for TLR Series Lights | 69118

Instant Tactical Adaptability

The Streamlight Infrared Filter for TLR Series Lights 69118 provides an essential upgrade for professionals who need to transition between standard illumination and covert operations. This genuine Streamlight accessory allows you to keep your white light ready for search tasks while instantly deploying an infrared beam for use with night vision devices. By utilizing the integrated flip-lens system, you can manage your light signature without having to swap out head assemblies or carry multiple handheld units.

Rugged Construction for the Field

Built to the demanding standards of the tactical community, the 69118 features a high-impact, black polymer housing that stands up to heavy recoil and harsh environmental conditions. The images show a robust, flexible tether connecting the protective flip-cap to the secure attachment ring, ensuring you never lose your filter in the heat of a mission. The matte black finish eliminates unwanted glare, helping you maintain a low profile during low-visibility maneuvers.

Streamlined Integration

Designed for a friction-fit installation, this filter slides directly onto the bezel of your existing light. The low-profile design ensures that it does not interfere with the activation switches of your light. Whether you are a forensic investigator working a dark crime scene or a patrol officer navigating a rural perimeter, the Streamlight Infrared Filter 69118 offers the reliability required for mission-critical gear.

Key Features

  • Flip-Open Housing: Transition from a powerful white beam to infrared in a fraction of a second with a simple thumb flick.

  • Secure Attachment Ring: The secondary rubberized ring stays firmly seated on the light bezel, preventing the filter from falling off during movement.

  • Tactical IR Filtration: Effectively blocks visible light to provide a dedicated IR source for compatibility with Night Vision Goggles (NVG).

  • Durable Housing: Engineered to handle the high heat and heavy recoil associated with the TLR-1 HL and TLR-2 HL series.

  • Genuine Streamlight Accessory: Ensures perfect fitment and optimal performance with your existing Streamlight hardware.

Compatibility

The Streamlight 69118 is precision-engineered to fit specific Streamlight models with a standard bezel diameter. It is confirmed to work with:

  • TLR Series: TLR-1, TLR-1s, TLR-1 HL, TLR-2, TLR-2s, and TLR-2 HL.

  • Handheld Series: PolyTac (standard models only; not for HP versions) and ProTac HL USB.

  • Exclusions: This filter is not compatible with the TLR-3, TLR-4, TLR-7, or TLR-8 series.

Intended Users

The Streamlight Infrared Filter is designed specifically for tactical professionals who operate in low-light or zero-light environments. Law enforcement officers use this filter during building searches and perimeter control to maintain a covert presence while using night vision technology. Military personnel rely on the IR output for signaling and navigation without giving away their position to the naked eye. Forensic investigators and search and rescue teams also find the 69118 useful when they need to toggle between visible light for documentation and infrared for specialized detection tasks.

What’s Included

  • (1) Streamlight Infrared Filter Assembly (Housing and Flip-Lens)

  • Integrated Bezel Attachment Ring

Frequently Asked Questions about Streamlight Infrared Filter 69118

Question 1

Will this infrared filter fit the Streamlight TLR-7 or TLR-8 models?

No, the 69118 filter is specifically sized for the larger bezels of the TLR-1 and TLR-2 series. It will not fit the compact TLR-7 or TLR-8 weapon lights.

Question 2

Does this filter turn my standard LED light into a true IR illuminator?

Yes, the filter blocks the visible spectrum of light produced by your Streamlight LED, allowing only the infrared wavelengths to pass through. This makes your light visible only through night vision devices.

Question 3

Can I use this filter while the light is mounted on a holstered firearm?

Compatibility depends on your specific holster. Since the filter adds a small amount of diameter and length to the bezel, it may not fit inside tight-fitting Kydex or molded duty holsters.

Question 4

Is the lens made of glass or plastic?

The infrared lens is made of a high-strength polycarbonate designed to handle the heat output of high-lumen tactical lights without warping or cracking.

Question 5

How do I clean the filter if it gets covered in carbon or dirt?

You can clean the lens and polymer housing with mild soap and water or a standard lens cleaning cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals that could degrade the infrared coating.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5
