At its best: now to 2028" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Dec 2024

Luscious and fruity, this is smooth drinking Chardonnay with ripe stone fruit, flint and citrus flavours. The palate is smooth and rounded, with excellent richness and texture nicely framed with soft acidity. It’s creamy and has a very long finish on the palate.

The Odyssey Gisborne Chardonnay is sourced from Gisborne the most easterly of New Zealand’s grape growing regions and the first region to see the light. This vineyard is one of the oldest in the region and the grapes are Mendoza clone which give small berries and concentrated flavor. We do not irrigate over summer as the heavy silt loam and clay in the soil holds the moisture .Gisborne experiences high sunshine hours over. summer, perfect for the Chardonnay grapeIn the summer of 2024 we harvested when the flavours were peak. Picking by hand has resulted in fruit in the best condition being delivered to the winery. Harvested 24-30 March 2024.

Handpicked the grapes were gently pressed and cold settled naturally, and a portion of solids were added back in for texture. A portion of the juice was then fermented at a cool temperature with special yeasts to highlight the abundant fruit flavours of the Gisborne Chardonnay, the rest fermented at warm temperature in barrel to increase the texture and creamy nature of the wine. After a partial malolactic ferment the wine rested sur lees for ten months and in barrel gently stirred before being carefully prepared for bottle. Bottled December 2024.

Works for Sherpa, and heavy rugs
This worked on my 2 Sherpa jackets and a heavy furred rug. I tested it on my old Sherpa jacket that had the furs pretty much flat after years. I used this on it which took about 3 hrs to do and it feels brand new. I was so shocked that I used it on my old rug that had about an inch length in fur. The fur was all tangled so it had little stalks sticking out. After about 6-7 hrs, the rug was straight up rejuvenated felt brand new. I’m was very pleased with this product. Now, the real question is it worth it? I’ll just tell my opinion from my experience and let you decide for yourself. The product itself feels sturdy with a wooden base. It’s around 6 and a half inches so not very big. (This is one of the reasons why the rug too so long.)The metal brushed was surprisingly durable. I was applying a good amount of force when combing my rug and there were no bending. For 14 dollars and some elbow grease, I got two new jackets and a rug. The brush didn’t break so I can just keep using this to maintain. In my books, I got my moneys worth.

Great for shoes
This brush works well for fluffing up the inside of those sheepskin clog shoes we all own.

It Works!
A small size but fits my hand and really does the job well. I have two sherpa blankets that the fibers are matted down from the dryer (should have air dryed) and this brush glides through the fibers, does require some effort but well worth it as I get instant results of the before and after. So far, brush is intact and handling the job, one larger and one smaller blanket to go and both sides. Very happy with purchase!

LL Bean slippers
Larger than it looks, but still small enough to fit into my LL Bean Wicked Good Slippers. Let's me comb out the shearling to keep it soft and pretty.

Good.
Works perfect to brush sheepskin. However it's a bit difficult to remove the fluff without hurting your fingers.
