What others are saying about this set:

"I was raised by immigrant parents who were new to the faith. My mom used all of Gertrude's curricula to teach us the Bible, and she learned as much from teaching it as we did! I remember studying and filling out all of the 6 workbooks as a child. Now, I'm a graduate of Reformation Bible College, and I'm continuing a career in theology with Ligonier...[That] all started with these curricula." - Giovanna M.

"I have been homeschooling now for 19 years. When our family first started homeschooling we bought a package curriculum from a company named Covenant Home. Included in that package was the Gertrude Hoeksema curriculum. We have used it in our home for years. I now own a small business that provides a one day per week enrichment program for homeschooled students (K-8th). We will be using the curriculum this year in one of our classes during the Bible lesson. I was so thrilled to discover that [the RFPA] carried exactly what I was looking for!" - Jenny Watts, The Friday Program

"As is immediately apparent from the book itself, Suffer Little Children was intended first of all for use by teachers. It’s very evident, too, that the author is herself a teacher. Gertrude Hoeksema draws from extensive experience as an instructor of children at the primary level when, for example, she offers, in her introduction to the teachers’ guide for grade one, a number of very practical tips concerning the art of story-telling, of asking questions, and of using visual aids. Her pedagogical insights are evident...In [the Introduction] Mrs. Hoeksema outlines a 'philosophy' of the Scriptures which can be read with profit by other than first grade teachers. The entire book, for that matter, can be helpful as well to Sunday School teachers, and perhaps even to parents who make a serious attempt to give systematic Bible instruction to their young children." - Don Doezema

Gertrude Hoeksema was a housewife, mother, and veteran Christian schoolteacher. The author was born in a manse in the little known village of Sibley, Iowa, and moved to Michigan before she started school. She had her schooling in the Grand Rapids Christian School system and in Calvin College. A few years of teaching in Grand Rapids area Christian schools were followed by marriage and life in the parsonages of Doon, Iowa, and South Holland, Illinois, with her pastor-husband, during which time the family was enriched by four children. Back in Grand Rapids after her husband was appointed professor in the Protestant Reformed Seminary from which he graduated, the author completed her education, and, as her family grew up, she went back to teaching in elementary grades at the Adams Street Protestant Reformed Christian School. Her academic interests, in addition to primary education, were English and music. For years she dabbled in poetry and wrote short stories and articles. Her first major work was a biography of her father-in-law, the Rev. Herman Hoeksema, titled Therefore Have I Spoken.

Love that it all up. Great use like original just smaller.
Size: Mini
Love this! Works great just like the original but it’s easy to fold up and put in bags for travel. Super durable, not flimsy . Balls have the same great bounce. Love the size great for any ball, loving pups, and the owners! Great gift ideas for new puppies. Will buy again for sure.

Not worth it
Size: Mini
The orange clasp that locks it in place is super faulty on the one I received. It folds at any point when trying to throw the ball. Not sure if I just got a defective one but I wasn’t a fan. Would rather get one at a pet store just to play it safe

Not as sturdy as a regular one
Size: Mini
I was holding off writing a review about this because I wasn’t sure that it was going to hold up as well as a regular non bendable Chuck It wand. I have found I like the way it folds up and fits into my backpack nicely and also fits into my big purse when I’m out and about with my dog. You have to make sure the orange sleeve is over the screw part in the middle of the wand before you can throw the ball otherwise it’s not going to throw. It’s going to collapse. I’m not sure how long the durability is going to last that’s my only question about this product and I don’t know how long the screws on the elbow of it are gonna hold up but for now it’s been working great and we play with it every day and I’ve not had a problem with it. It’s just not as sturdy as a full size wand

Love this version of Chuck It beyond all before
Size: Mini
I had the longer bendable Chuck It before, well several, which broke down. They finally wouldn’t’ release the ball. Not disparaging Chuck It. They have been my furry puppy's favorite thing ever. I am grateful. But what I like and think is intuitive about this smaller design is 2 things: 1. I can do a more dynamic throw. 2. There are circle holes in the Chuck It Ball that come with it that I think allow for easier release and the ball can go father. Just my two cents.
