We are pleased to announce the release of the eighth pen within the Aurora Planets series, titled Plutone. You may recall the previous models, including Sole, Marte, Saturno, Nettuno and the ever popular Nebulosa. Nebulosa was the first purple “Auroloide” material and was sold out in within a short period of time.
The Pluto is a numbered limited edition of 888 pieces and comes equipped with the traditional size six 18k nib. As with all Aurora made nibs of this size, the feeds are made of solid ebonite.
Like all 88s, the 888 Pluto features Aurora’s unique piston filler design with a built-in ink reserve. When the pen runs dry, extend the piston to access enough ink for several more pages of writing. The piston knob will remain extended acting as a reminder to refill the pen while still allowing the cap to be posted.
The gorgeous, Auroloide resin evokes the swirls of gas and clouds that make up the farthest planet in our solar system. Its metal trim is plated with beautiful rhodium to match the 18K rhodium plated gold nib. The Plutocomes with Aurora's elegant black gift box.
This is a high capacity piston-fill pen. With an extra twist of the piston knob when near empty, a small extra reserve is released which allows writing to continue until a convenient time to refill.
