Best of all, the silver finish means it will look great under the hood, regardless of the color of the engine or engine compartment. The design of the fans and the material of the fan star and blades will remain the same. Flex-A-Lite Race Fans have a rigid blade design similar to an OE fan for maximum airflow. The advantage of the Race Fan is that they are designed for use without a fan clutch. This provides constant, reliable air flow from the cooling fan and eliminates the extra weight and length of the fan clutch.
