the sophomore release from the industrial-tinged hard rock band featuring Chris Spencer (Unsane), Jim Coleman (Cop Shoot Cop), Jonathan Syverson (Daughters) and E.C. Cooper (Unsane)

“This is more of a statement about how things are going in the world right now.” says Spencer. “Things were pretty shitty before. I think things may actually have gotten a little bit worse.”
“It’s just sort of the modern state of being, to me. From really a human perspective in terms of us being part of the masses, all of us together as one giant conglomerate of production and taxpayer bullshit, says Spencer. “I make a conscious effort to try to think of things in terms of ‘we’ and ‘us’ and what’s happening to us as a whole instead of just my stupid problems”

Human Impact, the laser-precision noise-rock alliance of Unsane frontman Chris Spencer and Cop Shoot Cop squallmaker Jim Coleman, have returned with Gone Dark, the band’s second full-length album. Gone Dark is not a cry from the darkness but a shout through the darkness, a robust proclamation of resilience and opposition in the face of impending apocalypse.

The Human Impact arsenal is more formidable than ever thanks to the addition of two more noise-rock veterans: bassist Eric Cooper (Made Out of Babies, Bad Powers) and drummer Jon Syverson (Daughters). Spencer had spent the 2020 Covid lockdown working on a cabin in the East Texas woods and would travel into Austin for informal jam sessions with the pair in the bass player’s garage. Friendly blasts through vintage Unsane songs would ultimately result in the rhythm section being fully absorbed into the Unsane and Human Impact lineups for their 2022 European tours.

Recorded with co-producer Andrew Schneider (Ken Mode, Cave In) in Austin’s Cedar Creek Studio, Gone Dark is a fiercer, tighter upgrade of Human Impacts’s taut grooves, brittle guitar shards, impassioned shouts and clouds of dystopic noise.

The band’s debut album had the unfortunate street date of March 13th 2020, the day the world shut down because of Covid. Even with that big hurdle, the band had a successful campaign that included additional digital singles and EPs, one that even raised money for those affected by the pandemic.

Well made but on the small side. I recommend ordering one size bigger than your usual size
Size: Large, Color: Pure Black (Retro Rose)
The fit on this shirt ran slightly smaller for me being a slim fit, so I order the next size up. Getting the next size up gave me a perfect fit. The material is soft and comfortable. I will likely consider similar shirts in the future. I recommend the product.

Very nice shirt -Good Quality
Size: XX-Large, Color: Red (Retro Rose)
My husband is 6'1, weighs 178 pounds and normally wears a medium or large. Just for reference his pant size is a 32-34 depending on the brand. We ordered a large due to the fact the shirt appeared to be fitted more at the waist and from looking at the description I knew it would not have much stretch due to the satin type material. I was right. The large fit perfect and hung well. My husband use to be very large in shoulders and arms, but with age he has lost muscle mass, and recently lost a lot in his belly, so usually mediums fit perfect now. But when he put his large on, a medium would not have fit good to be comfortable & give proper fit in stomach area, so glad we went with the large. The shirt was purchased to go on a Virgin Cruise for Scarlett night, and he plans to wear black pants with it as in the picture the company posted, and this shirt will be perfect for that. It is a nice shirt, good quality, and if someone wanted it for an event/cruise or just for a night to dress up, especially for a Caribbean/Spanish or Latin dance theme, this shirt is a perfect look to me. Buy it, you will not be disappointed. He has not worn it yet, not washed it, but I would not put in it with other colors, may fade a little like reds do, and definitely, only dry on low/delicate. May need a pressing/steaming, but overall, it was not horribly wrinkled when we received it. A toss in the dryer may just do the trick. Was delivered on time as it said it would. Hope this info helps you.
