Understanding the Cubist Movement: A Contextual Background
The Birth of Cubism: Key Figures and Influences
Cubism emerged in the early 20th century, revolutionizing the art world. Pioneered by artists like Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque, this movement broke traditional perspectives. It emphasized fragmented forms and multiple viewpoints, challenging how we perceive reality. Juan Gris, often called the father of Synthetic Cubism, played a crucial role in this evolution. His innovative approach combined elements of collage and painting, creating a new visual language.Juan Gris: The Master of Synthetic Cubism
Juan Gris, born in 1887 in Madrid, became a leading figure in the Cubist movement. His works, including "Violin with Fruit," showcase his unique ability to blend color and form. Unlike his contemporaries, Gris focused on clarity and structure, making his compositions more accessible. His background in engineering influenced his precise geometric shapes, setting him apart in the art community. Gris's dedication to Cubism helped solidify its place in modern art history.Violin with Fruit: A Deep Dive into the Composition
Analyzing the Geometric Shapes and Forms
"Violin with Fruit" features a captivating arrangement of geometric shapes. The violin, a central element, is depicted with sharp angles and curves, creating a dynamic tension. Surrounding it, the fruit—apples and grapes—interacts with the musical instrument, forming a harmonious composition. The color palette in "Violin with Fruit" is rich and vibrant. Gris employs warm earth tones, such as ochre and brown, alongside cooler blues and greens. This combination evokes a sense of warmth and nostalgia. The colors symbolize the joy of music and the abundance of nature, inviting viewers to feel the emotional resonance of the piece. Each hue plays a role in conveying the painting's overall mood.Light and Shadow: Techniques that Define the Artwork
Gris masterfully uses light and shadow to create depth in "Violin with Fruit." The interplay of light highlights the contours of the violin and fruit, adding a three-dimensional quality. Gris's technique of chiaroscuro enhances the visual impact, drawing attention to the intricate details. This skillful manipulation of light not only defines the objects but also adds a sense of movement to the composition.Thematic Elements in Violin with Fruit

Looks amazing!
Size: 4-tier, Style: wall mount&floor mount, Size: 4-tier, Style: wall mount&floor mount
Very straight forward to build. Mine was not hard but to a bit more effort because my ceiling is at an angle so I had to get a little creative. I cut a piece of wood and placed it between the ceiling and one of the arms for it to be even. It’s also not completely even cause I didn’t have a long level but still looks amazing.

Quick and easy - nice pipe kit.
Size: 4-Tier (Not included planks)
Pair these with some shelving boards from your local big box store, and you're in business. These look nice, and are easy to assemble. I had them up and on the wall in about 90 minutes.

Sturdy, Be mindful if a few things in advance
Size: 5-Tier (Not included planks), Size: 5-Tier (Not included planks)
Good quality. The black pipe compliments our decorating style so we are over all pleased.
Be mindful of the following:
- Needs a little bit of expertise in making sure all the flanges line up and are level/plumb.
- Even if/when you pre assemble tubing according to printed instructions, the shelving won't line up and some connection parts will have to be loosened to line up.
- I consider us (me & the hubs) little above average when it comes to DIY but this took some figuring out and cooperation during installation because we decided to align the holes on the flanges up with our studs to enforce the holding strength (for weight of books and family photo albums/picture boxes). This choice was prompted by the poor quality of plastic drywall anchors included with the product.
Now that I have installed one, I will customize next time with more height (to accommodate taller children's books that don't fit the current set up) and a bit deeper (to accommodate a 12 inch shelf/wood insert). Aesthetically, it will not accommodate a book taller than about 9 inches. Our photo albums range up to 15 inches and because the shelving depth from back wall to front of wood shelf is about 12 inches, it hangs over the front too much to look balanced.
With the current set up, I'm limited with what can be placed on the shelves - size wise. While this does not have anything to do with the quality of the product, you may not know to consider these aspects in advance so thats why I include it in my review.

A Solid, Stylish Solution!
Size: 4-Tier (Not included planks)
I use this industrial pipe shelf setup in my salon to display and organize products, and it’s been a great fit. The hardware is sturdy and gives a clean, rustic vibe that works well with my space. It was easy to install, and I added my own boards to customize the look. The open design makes it easy for clients to see what’s available, and it’s held up well with daily use. A solid, stylish solution for keeping things neat and accessible.
