The beautiful marquetry veneer of walnut, maple and exotic woods with geometric inlay with crossettes on the corners and pink veined marble make it an exceptional piece. The fabulous original marble comes in one piece and a thickness of 2.7 cm.

It rests on four straight legs, two of which have a cutaway. The bottom drawers open to reveal additional storage and 2 document compartments.

This is great to use in a living room as a bureau or chest, however can still look like a showstopping piece when closed so highly functional.

Condition report
In fantastic antique condition throughout with some signs of age. A slight bit of veneer has come off at the top and bottom and corners of the legs but doesn't take away from its beauty. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches, fading and stains to the top , further marks and scratches to the sides, front and interior. Staining on fall front leather.

The antique bureau remains structurally solid and sound. The top fall front opens and closes however they key is not working and is stuck inside . The bottom section can be opened by simply pulling with a separate key that will be supplied.
