Additional Information:

  • CLASS TYPE: This is a wheel throwing class on the pottery wheel.
  • GLAZING: Your practice piece(s) will be glazed with ONE glaze that is intuitively selected by the staff of the studio. It’ll be a fun surprise!
  • CARE: Ceramics should not be exposed to extreme temperature changes. Hand-wash or allow to cool to room temperature from the top rack of your dishwasher help prevent shattering. Avoid using boiling water. With care, your future little pots can bring you joy for a long while.
  • TURNAROUND TIME: Pottery is a process and takes time to dry, glaze, and fire multiple times. Your creations will be ready for pickup from the studio approximately 4-6 weeks from the workshop date. You should receive a pickup email when they're finished, but if it is eaten by filters, please come by the studio after 6 weeks to check on your pots or send us an email. Any pottery left at the studio 3 months after the workshop date will be donated, so please pick up your work in time!
  • DISCLAIMER: YOU MUST SIGN YOUR POTTERY WITH YOUR NAME.  Not all practice pieces are guaranteed to make it out of the kiln if instructions are not followed. Inconsistencies in thickness can cause cracks or even shattering in the firing process. However, the goal of this workshop is to learn and have fun, not the finished practice piece(s), so don’t stress about it! By purchasing this ticket, you are agreeing that Bookworm Pottery & Co. is not liable for damaged pieces or lost pieces that are unsigned and mistakenly claimed by another customer.
  • WAIVER: Engaging in pottery classes can be taxing on the body. Wheel classes in particular not recommended for individuals who have injuries in their hip, back, shoulders, or wrists; arthritis, tendonitis, carpal tunnel, or joint pain. By participating in pottery classes with Bookworm Pottery & Co., you understand and accept that you are creating at your own risk, participation can exacerbate current/prior injuries, and release Bookworm Pottery & Co. from any liability during use of the studio. If you need special accommodations during the session, please inform an instructor and we will make accommodations to the best of our ability, but cannot guarantee that we can perfectly accommodate every need. Please see the refund policy below.
  • REFUND POLICY: Tickets cannot be prorated, exchanged for another workshop, or refunded for private workshops, even if all pre-paid attendees do not participate.

Poor quality control - maybe outlet store leftovers
Size: 11.5, Color: Burgundy Polished Full Grain
The two shoes were not the same size. They were both labeled 11 1/2 but one shoe was larger than the other and the fit was poor. I returned the first pair and ordered a replacement. This time the shoes were close to the same size but too loose and the left one has sewing issues. I've bought Johnston & Murphy for years because of the quality. These were to replace an existing pair of burgundy penny loafers that have finally worn out (even after several heal/sole replacements). That is the expected quality. I suspect Nashville Shoe Warehouse may be handling shoes that didn't measure up for the quality; more like an outlet mall than getting the J&M quality I've come to expect. Update: went to Johnston & Murphy site to buy "direct" from the manufacturer. There were several recent reviews where the shoes were long and didn't fit properly. Genesco - please step up the manufacture / crafting of these classic shoes to the level of quality they used to have.

I usually wear 11.5's, but I buy 1/2 size smaller to accommodate for stretch. Leather relaxes.
Size: 11, Color: Burgundy Polished Full Grain
5 STARS: These shoes are awesome. I keep coming back for more. I have major foot problems, have tried all kinds of shoes, orthotics, and inserts... but believe it or not, these shoes work better than any of that stuff. I wear them daily. I buy lots of them, for home, for church, and I'm getting my first pair of J&M boots today, for winters in Indiana... Brrrr

Way too narrow
Size: 9.5 Wide, Color: Burgundy Polished Full Grain
I ordered a wide in this shoe, but it was still way too narrow. I had to return them. Otherwise, it looked like a nice quality shoe.
