BowHouse RC: Low CG Battery Tray and Rear Chassis Brace for HPI Venture

Take your HPI Venture to the next level with the BowHouse RC Low CG Battery Tray and Rear Chassis Brace. Designed specifically to lower your rig’s center of gravity and improve performance on the trail, this dual-purpose upgrade not only provides a secure and stable battery mounting solution, but also reinforces your rear chassis for enhanced durability under load.

Crafted with trail-tested design in mind, the Low CG Battery Tray helps reduce body roll and improve crawling stability by relocating the battery lower in the chassis. This upgrade is a must for serious RC rock crawlers who want to improve both balance and real-world performance.

The included Rear Chassis Brace replaces the stock battery tray’s mounting structure, providing added rigidity to your chassis while maintaining compatibility with your factory shock towers and link mounts.

Installation Tips:

  • Before installation, use a 3/32" drill bit to clean excess material from mounting holes under the tray’s front edge and the four corners of the Rear Chassis Brace.

  • Remove the stock battery tray by taking out the screws securing the rear shock towers. These will be reused for the new chassis brace.

  • Remove the rear upper link mount screws and replace them with M3x20mm screws (not included) to secure links without extending into the skid.

  • Loosen the rear-most screws on the chassis rails and remove one rear bumper screw and body post to allow removal of the stock tray.

  • Insert the new Low CG Battery Tray and rear cross brace—ensure tabs under the tray fit into the c-channel rails and screw holes align with the upper link mounts.

  • Tighten M3x30mm screws to secure the tray and install your preferred Velcro battery strap (not included).

Upgrade with confidence—better balance, better protection, better crawling.

8.5 sound out of the box! (Want bespoke configs? Sorry.) Great Value, Easy Setup
Style: AVR-X1800H
Excellent unit. Off the shelf sound is very nice, but every room is different, so a bit of tweaking is usually required. Accessing the EQ settings takes a bit of sleuthing and the use of its app... which is subpar. The app interface can only be explained as designed by people who must not actually use it. Still, a wonderful machine at a fair price. I run in ECO mode and it powers my 35x47 room with plenty of power to spare and NEVER gets hot. I am running Infinity Reference speakers and a Klipsch sub in a 7.1 config. I highly recommend the use of the included Audyssey calibration microphone! My prior experience with Yamaha YPAO left me wondering what was the point. This time with the Denon, it set up the speakers, (i'm embarrassed to say) better than I did on my own. (To be fair, I'm sure Yamaha has improved its YPAO in the decade since my prior purchase) Bottom line. If you want maximum flexibility on EQ. Shop a different solution. However, If you want quality sound with 4K and up to and including ATMOS processing, with minimal tweaking, or just want to unbox and play, this is a wonderful unit at a very fair price.

Does well for my needs
Style: AVR-X1800H
I got this to replace a Sony head unit that was starting to fail after 10 or so years of use. This one doesn’t have the same power output, but I use Bose speakers. Bose is fairly low wattage for the most part so no problem there. Setup was fine. My only complaint is that center channel only dialog is too quiet. I need to adjust that. Everything else is great. I don’t care about Internet connectivity, but it has that if you want it. I’m very happy so far with this unit.

Nice AVR
Style: AVR-X1800H
Refurbished and looking like brand new. One small scratch on the side. It went in a cabinet and it's hidden. All paperwork seemed to be there. If I didn't know it looks like factory sealed . I've got an older Denon. Just wanted to move up to 7.2. Audyssey recognize a second sub. But neither did my older on. No problem with that though. Just FYI. After the original setup and minor tweaking it sounds fantastic for me. I haven't had it but a few days and I hope I get many years of enjoyment from this
