Loved Lucky & Lexie!!
Format: Kindle
Oh my, what an absolutely amazing book!! It’s such an emotional, poignant, and heartfelt romance and Bella has really out done herself! Geez, once you I started this book I could not put it down. Lucky Beneventi and Lexie Sinclair been friends from childhood. There has always been a connection between them, yet there was also something that kept them as friends … even if they both craved for more.
Lexie is returning home from Paris after spending time there studying at Le Cordon Bleu. Returning home she will be the new baker at Sweet Temptations. The past year away from home Lexie has become independent. Learning to live her life on her own terms in spite of her having Cystic Fibrosis. Excited to be back home Lexie is still a bit nervous about sharing the house with former BFF, Lucky.
Lucky is now the star QB for the Kings and teammate and best friend with Lexie’s brother Linc. Though Lucky may have always had is eye on Lexie it was the unwritten rule that she was off limits for him because of her brothers. Needless to say, this has led to Lucky becoming a big-time ladies’ man. But what happens when Lexie returns from Paris and they find they are now become roommates?
It doesn’t take long for Lucky and Lexie to have an unexpected late-night meeting. It didn’t take long for them to fall into easy conversation… along with a bit of bantering. It felt good to see them both open up and ease back into their old familiar friendship. But was it truly just the friendship in which they were interested?
Lexie had always wanted Lucky to see her beyond just being friends. At the same time she had a real issue with having CF that kept her from pursuing more than friendship with Lucky. Little did she know that Lucky had always had visions of her being his endgame!! It was heartbreaking just how vulnerable Lexie was when it came to having a romantic relationship.
Even though Lexie would fight Lucky pushing to have more with her, once he got beyond that wall, I loved just how caring and devoted he was to her. The chemistry between Lucky and Lexie was just so freaking electrifying!! And to see how thoughtful and caring Lucky was… ~swoon!!~~ These two were meant to be together.
There were many other things I loved too!! The group text messages and camaraderie that were always going back and forth… This is one of the things that Bella does so well in her books. Family/friendships and extended family. Plus, all that love that you feel from them.

A down bad MMC that doesn't give up. LOVED IT!
Format: Kindle
I love a down bad MMC and Lucky Beneventi was it and more!!!! I loved the love he had for Lexi and how willing he was to fight for them and give their relationship a try. But I could also understand why Lexi didn’t want to risk it. She knew that her cystic fibrosis diagnosis gave her no guarantee of how many years she'd live and she didn’t want to hurt Lucky. But seeing Lucky not giving up and showing her how important and worthy their love was, no matter the time left? It was beautiful!!!!! And that ending and bonus epilogue? My heart!!!!!! I loved it so much!!
I do wish we could’ve had more time with them dating and being happy because I did feel we spent more time with them fighting their attraction and then Lexi fighting what they felt for each other.
Also, there were A LOT of characters so it got a bit confusing trying to understand who was related to whom (so I guess at some point I will eventually go back and read the other series). However, keeping my focus on Lucky and Lexi helped me enjoy the story more.
Sweet Temptation is a fantastic beginning to the Love and Legacy series. It was definitely more heart wrenching than I was expecting but I adored the love story, the main characters' connection and how they got their HEA.
Tropes:
-Good girl x bad boy vibes
-Football player
-Baker
-Childhood friends to frenemies to lovers
-FMC has a chronic illness
-It’s always been you
-Down bad MMC
-No third act break up
-Brother’s best friend

This book was great!
Format: Kindle
This book was absolutely amazing! I loved the relationship between Lexie and Lucky. I loved how Lucky was soo sweet with Lexie and how he knew he loved her from when they were kids. I felt horrible Lucky thought he caused her to be sick when they were kids and he lived with that guilt his whole life. The writing in this book like all of her books was great. Im addicted to this world and this crazy large family. I cant wait to read the next book in this series!
The duet audiobook narration was fantastic! The narrators did a wonderful job bringing this book and their characters to life! Tor Thom and Andi Arndt were incredible! I would highly recommend this book and audiobook.
