Medium-full bodied, aromas of red berry, plum and vine leaf melded with violet; clove and nutmeg expand a moderately long finish. Medium crimson with a purple tinge. Rich dark berry and vanilla pod with a hint of clove spice. Fruit driven flavours of dark berry fruits, rich plum, blackcurrant and cherry with subtle hints of chocolate, mocha, spice and oak. Soft velvety tannins and good length.
The 2021 vintage was farily mild, with a warm Summer and ample sunshine ensuring full, ripe fruit flavours to develop.
