In the late 1990s Giuseppe replanted some of the vineyards and invested in a brand new winery so that wines could be estate bottled. Lillove is sourced from 100% Cannonau (a varietal with similarities to Grenache) grown on deep granite soils which force roots deep into the ground to seek moisture in what is a hot, dry, sometimes drought ridden climate.
Grapes are macerated for an extra long period of 30 days to extract colour and phenolic flavour profile.
This is a fresh, juicy red showing notes of red berry fruit and soft earthy tones on the nose. Soft tannins and a long finish with spicy and floral nuances. Very representative of the grape and terroir.
Pair with red meat dishes, roast pork, charcuterie.
