The journey to creating this seal began with an enchanting cameo, featuring Ariel on a bat, discovered on Sian Harlowe Antiques’ Instagram. Fascinated by the idea, I reached out to Sian Harlowe, who was enthusiastic about the project. Although the original cameo depicted more elaborate features, I chose to simplify the design, focusing on the unique blend of Ariel and the bat, inspired by Ariel's own words in "The Tempest":

Where the bee sucks, there suck I:
In a cowslip’s bell I lie;
There I couch when owls do cry.
On the bat’s back I do fly
After summer merrily.

This verse encapsulates the essence of Ariel’s spirit—joyful, free, and in harmony with nature, making it the perfect inspiration for this seal.
