We at Emerson Custom formerly had our own spec’d line of “Emerson PRO CTS pots” but when 2020 rolled around and the supply chain blew up, it was finally time to take matters into our own hands. Faced with lead-times that were 20x longer than that of during a normal time, Mitch was stuck between a rock and a hard place. He didn’t have access to his own supply of his spec of CTS pots because all the major brands were vying for anything and everything they could get from the factories. Mitch was tired of simply accepting the industry norm that CTS pots are “good enough”, or the “best” available. So, he set out to create his very own design and brand of in-house pots that not only look familiar but are built to an incredibly consistent feel and function from lot to lot. It took a ton of money, time and effort, but we feel that these new Emerson PREMIER PRO pots are the best pots available… PERIOD. We weren’t constrained by an off the shelf spec sheet of options to choose from.
We designed and developed these pots from the ground up. The feel and consistency from pot to pot is incredible. We put extra care into the little details to make sure these translate to the end user. We built these to be rugged and reliable. We chose to use robust Fiberglass as the substrate the solder lugs and resistive track are mounted to because its super strong, rigid, and won’t easily bend and snap like those in most every guitar. The taper we used on these is a custom 20% Audio Taper that is a proprietary design from Emerson. This taper works equally as well in the volume position as it does in the tone position. Our Solder lugs are a unique design… slightly oversized for plenty of room to run ground wires/buss wires and any other connection you need to the pot lugs.

Our 3-Way tele kits are our most popular prewired kit.. and for good reason; They improve your tone! We take great pride in using premium components that work and sound better than stock electronics found in your guitar. Our pots are hand metered and matched for great consistency and even taper on both the volume and tone knob (better control when rolling down the volume knob... no more mud) Our Emerson Paper in Oil capacitors sound amazing! Paper in Oil capacitors were used in vintage Fender and Gibsons for good reason... They sound amazing. Our kits are painstaking wired by hand one at a time in Bixby, Oklahoma, USA. We take great pride in our solder work and neatness when we craft our prewired kits. We build our kits to last a very long time and perform great. We think you will appreciate the detail both sonically and visually that goes into each and every one of our prewired kits.
This is a 3-Way Tele prewired assembly for Telecaster style guitars featuring 2 single coil pickups. It will drop into most American Fender Teles with no modification. **(If purchasing the Reverse control plate kit please see install notes below)**
Wired with 22 AWG vintage push-back wire for that vintage look and sound. Soldered connections to the input jack are insulated with heat-shrink to ensure durability and long life. If you are installing this on an import guitar with metric sized pots you may need to ream your control plate holes to accept the slightly larger US-Spec pots and buy US-Spec knobs.

Reverse Control Plate Setup Note: Volume, Tone & 3-way Switch. (Volume Control is parallel to the bridge pickup for players that like to use their volume knob a lot for swells and more overall control). **Due to the nature of "flipping your controls" you may have to modify your existing cavity route by lengthening the area underneath the the control plate to fit the reverse control layout.**
