Necklace "Sylyanka"

Pletinky (Sylianky) are traditional Ukrainian beaded necklaces whose name comes from the technique of syliannia — stringing beads onto a thread. Ukrainian women wore sylianky both as protective amulets and as adornments.

I reimagined this piece in my own artistic language — creating it from silver beads instead of traditional glass beads.

The result exceeded my expectations. I wore this sylianka with different looks, admired every bead and every knot, and simply couldn’t help showing it to everyone around me.

This necklace deserves to adorn every extraordinary Ukrainian woman — both on special occasions and in everyday life.

Creating one piece takes around 10 hours and requires approximately 3,400 silver beads. Each item carries an official 925 sterling silver hallmark.
