The nose is intense and diversified, with aromas of fruit head, with black cherry, blackberry and currant. Some notes of tobacco and sweet spices anticipate those of the forest and balsamic ones. The quality of both the perfumes and the cleanliness of the façade is also excellent.
On the palate it has power and at the same time rigid structure, so as to result in harmony and balance. Good hardness, and excellent softness expressed by the slight residual sugar and the pseudo heat of the alcohol content. Acidity, tannin and minerality work to rebalance the balance. Persistent between balsamic, fruity and aromatic herbs.
The Valpolicella Ripasso Marchesa Maria Bella of Massimago is balanced, so as to easily accompany different types of dishes.

The grapes are grown in vineyards located in the municipality of Mezzane di Sotto, where the soil is marly and clayey. Altitude is 180 meters above sea level.
The density of the plants is 7000 plants per hectare, while the training system is the espalier with Guyot pruning.
After a careful selection conducted in the vineyard, the grapes, harvested manually, are left to ferment for a long period in stainless steel tanks. After a few months, the Amarone pomace is added to the wine made from fresh grapes for a second maceration. The “ripassaggio” on the marc of the amarone enriches the wine in structure and complexity. After carrying out the malolactic transformation in steel tanks, the wine ages in French oak barrels and tonneaux for 12 months.
