The problem this product exists to solve

Meeting rooms get booked and not used. They also get used without being booked. Neither state is visible from the corridor. The TEMPO puts a display outside the room that shows availability and environmental status — without a wired tablet, without a booking system integration on day one, and without a power outlet on the door frame.

It combines an E-Ink display with integrated PIR occupancy detection and environmental sensing. The room status on the display reflects actual occupancy, not just calendar data. If the room is booked but empty, the sensor knows. If it is occupied but not booked, the sensor knows that too.

A few things worth knowing before you deploy

• Up to 12 months battery life — no mains connection required; mount at door height without running a power cable to each meeting room
• MS Outlook and calendar system integration — the TEMPO connects to room booking systems and updates the display automatically when a booking is made or cancelled; no manual update, no out-of-date information on the door
• Green and red room status visible from the corridor — occupants see availability before reaching the door; reduces interruptions in meeting-heavy environments and removes the need to knock
• E-Ink display readable in any lighting — visible in direct sunlight, dim corridors, and anywhere in between; no backlight power draw, which is a direct contributor to the 12-month battery life
• Display retains content without power — if the battery drains, the last booking status stays on screen; the door sign does not go blank mid-meeting
