Reproduction of Gold Panels I on White by Chris Paschke
Chris Paschke — "Gold Panels I on White". This work exemplifies a refined evolution within the realm of contemporary geometric abstraction, where the artist masterfully navigates the tension between structure and spontaneity. Paschke’s approach, rooted in a minimalist sensibility, departs from the gestural excesses of mid-century abstraction, favoring a restrained, almost architectural composition. The piece is structured around a series of intersecting, irregularly shaped panels, rendered in a tactile, impasto-like gold medium that contrasts sharply with the soft, watercolor washes of brown and grey in the background. This juxtaposition of materials—luminous, metallic gold against a matte, earthy ground—creates a dynamic interplay of texture and light, a hallmark of Paschke’s technique. The composition is achieved through an asymmetrical balance, with the golden forms distributed across the canvas in a way that suggests organic growth rather than rigid design, echoing the principles of natural systems. The extensive use of negative space is not merely an absence of form but an active element, guiding the viewer’s eye and imbuing the work with a sense of quiet contemplation. The color palette, though limited, is rich in nuance, with the warm, earthy tones of the background providing a grounding counterpoint to the radiant gold. This work is situated within the broader tradition of post-war American abstraction, drawing from the legacy of artists like Agnes Martin and Donald Judd, while simultaneously establishing a distinct, personal voice that is both meditative and visually arresting. Its interpretive significance lies in its ability to transform simple geometric forms into a profound meditation on balance, light, and the quiet beauty of the natural world. For more art by Chris Paschke click here.

Pretty but crumbled to bits.
Flavor Name: Boy, Size: 8 Count (Pack of 1)
These birthday doggy bones were pretty to look at and they smelled good. However, each bone was tightly shrink wrapped and very difficult to open. Not one came out whole and most just crumbled so thoroughly there wasn’t a piece big enough to hand to my dog. So, not a win.

Wouldn't buy again
Flavor Name: Boy, Size: 8 Count (Pack of 1)
They were all individually wrapped which was annoying to take them out the wrapper without them falling apart
