From a New York Times bestselling authority on education and children's mental health comes a groundbreaking guide to navigating classroom challenges through an approach that is aimed at meeting kids where they're at and being responsive to the developmental variability inherent in every classroom.

Over the past two decades, a wide array of societal changes have made it much harder to be a kid. While lots of kids are still doing okay, many more than ever are not. The Kids Who Aren't Okay opens with sobering statistics on children's mental health: higher than ever rates of concerning behaviors at school, anxiety, depression, chronic absenteeism, and suicidality. And educators--who have never felt less safe at school, have experienced significant decreases in job satisfaction, and have left the profession in droves--aren't doing very well, either.

Child psychologist Dr. Ross Greene, renowned for his pioneering work in education and originator of the evidence-based Collaborative & Proactive Solutions model (which has transformed practices in countless families, schools, psychiatric units, and residential and juvenile detention settings), has worked in and with schools across the globe for decades. He argues that the moment demands that we renew our focus on developmental variability and meeting every student where they're at, and that we take a hard look at our structures, practices, and mentalities at school and make practical, actionable, realistic changes that benefit all kids and educators. These changes must include shifting to interventions that are proactive (early) rather than reactive (late), solutions that are collaborative rather than unilateral, and focused on the problems that are causing concerning behaviors (and solving them) rather than behaviors (and modifying them).

Building on the principles introduced in his landmark, bestselling book, Lost at School, Greene equips educators and caregivers with the tools to foster safer, more supportive, inclusive learning environments. In easy-to-understand, practical terms, Greene provides a clear road map for turning things around, complete with vignettes, case studies, and the voices of educators who've done it. The Kids Who Aren't Okay is a vital resource, providing hope and guidance as schools navigate the new normal.

Amazing Cream! Like Magic for Me!
Somehow I triggered an eczema flare, and this time it hit my face. I had little bumps everywhere, my skin felt extremely dry and painful, and even under my eyebrows was sore. I’d only ever used eczema creams for my body, so I had nothing meant for my face. I searched for a facial option and this had great reviews and photos that made it look like it worked almost instantly. It arrived in one day, and I used it that night. The cream is very smooth, creamy, and incredibly soothing. By the next morning, my face was back to normal. It did sting slightly when I applied it, but only because my skin was so irritated, not because of any harsh ingredients. The relief was almost immediate. My skin felt soft, smooth, and calm again, and all the irritation cleared up like it was never there. It has a pleasant scent and is very moisturizing. Honestly, it felt like magic. This was a true lifesaver in the moment, definitely a face saver. It isn’t inexpensive but at the moment anything that worked would’ve been worth the price. I highly recommend it.

Love This Stuff!
I have skin allergies to anything with fragrance, so I get a lot of eczema flare ups. Not only does this not cause flare ups, but it helps soothe any irritation I have on my face. It’s also not too heavy and doesn’t leave a film feeling or cause breakouts like a lot of the other creams I’ve tried with colloidal oatmeal. Really love that they were able to work such a helpful, soothing ingredient into such a nice formula!

Burns
Maybe once you get your eczema under control with some other product, you can use this for maintenance, but it's an absolute misery if you have a bad outbreak of eczema. I have no idea why this thing has alcohol in it but it burns like a star when you put it on severely irritated skin. Note: I originally gave this 3 stars, but Eczema Honey reached out to me to offer a refund. I didn't take it, but I appreciated that they *would* do that. Plus, my acute outbreak has subsided and it's perfectly fine to use now, so just be warned it hurts to apply if you have an active eczema flareup!

Absolutely worth the money!!
I'm 38 and I've never had eczema but I did always have sensitive skin. About a week ago I noticed a dry patch under my eyelid and boy did it flare up very quickly. I tried several plant based products for eczema but it just burned. I decided this product would be my final purchase before going to urgent care. I received this product 2 days ago. After reading the reviews I decided to slowly add this to my skin. Now it did burn on the part that was super worse than the other so I made sure to put very thin amounts till my skin could handle a thick application. Id say I put the cream on about 6times the first day by the next day I could already see the difference the swelling and redness went away. The second day I did the same no more slight burning my skin is still dry but it is healing. I would definitely give it a try if you're experiencing eczema for your first time!
