This drawing was created during the production of the animated television series The New Adventures of Spirou and Fantasio, a Franco-Belgian 2D animated series produced by Dupuis Audiovisuel and first broadcast in 2006. The series ran for 39 episodes and was based on the classic comics created by Rob-Vel and later developed by many renowned artists. The artwork appears to be a model sheet drawing, used by animators to define the character’s design, proportions, and movement references during the animation process. The drawing is executed in graphite pencil, showing Fantasio in a dynamic pose.
Provenance : From an artist who worked on the animated series between 2006 and 2008.
