Installation Guide

  1. Disconnect Power: Disconnect the battery cables before beginning any work. Ensure the engine is tilted up and secured.
  2. Remove Lower Unit: Drain the gearcase lubricant. Remove the bolts connecting the lower unit (gearcase) to the upper driveshaft housing.
  3. Access Water Pump: With the lower unit removed, locate the water pump housing on top of the gearcase. Remove the housing bolts to expose the impeller.
  4. Inspect and Remove Old Impeller: Note the rotational direction of the old impeller fins. Remove the old impeller, key, gaskets, and wear plates.
  5. Install New Impeller: Clean the housing interior thoroughly. Install the new wear plate and gasket, place the Woodruff key in the driveshaft, and slide the new impeller on, rotating the driveshaft in its normal direction of rotation to bend the fins correctly.
  6. Reassemble and Test: Reassemble the pump housing, ensuring all seals are correctly seated. Re-attach the lower unit, refill the gearcase with fresh lubricant, and test the engine using a water source (flushing muffs) to confirm water is pumping correctly from the tell-tale port.

Troubleshooting & FAQ

How do I confirm this impeller fits my engine?
First, check the "Part Number Cross-Reference" table to see if your existing impeller's part number is listed. Second, review the detailed "Compatible Engine Models" tables to find your specific Yamaha model, horsepower, and year. Using our linked Yamaha serial number and parts diagram guides can further help verify fitment.

What are the signs of a failing impeller?
The most common symptoms are a weak or no water stream from the tell-tale (pee hole), or your engine overheating alarm sounding. Reduced engine performance at high RPMs can also be a sign of poor cooling.

How often should I replace the water pump impeller?
As a general maintenance rule, it is recommended to inspect your impeller annually and replace it every 1 to 2 years (or every 100-200 operating hours), regardless of visible wear. Impellers can become brittle and fail unexpectedly, especially when used in saltwater or sandy/silty conditions.

OEM vs. Aftermarket?
This listing is an aftermarket replacement part (not an OEM component). We build to OEM specifications using comparable-grade materials. Production is done in an ISO9002-certified facility, and each batch is inspected for consistent performance.

How fast do you ship and how much does it cost?
We offer fast global shipping—typically 5–15 days worldwide—and standard shipping is free. Expedited options are available at checkout depending on your location.

What is your warranty and return policy?
This product includes a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects under normal use. If something goes wrong, contact our support team with your order details. Returns are accepted within our standard return window (unused & in original condition); please see our policy page or reach out for instructions.

delightful read
Format: Kindle
What a delightful read. The characters are awesome, the plot was so good, I loved it. I was intrigued and it kept me wanting more. Told in multiple pov, the book sucks you in and doesn’t let go. I cannot wait to read the next book.

not bad
Format: Kindle
I loved the plot of this book. The characters just didn’t have a lot of depth. The connections and “love” just weren’t communicated very well in the writing. The author didn’t write the sweet psycho trope very well at all either. Lachlan was just a mess of a character.

A Beta Worth Rooting For
Format: Kindle
In Spare, Violet Fox flips the omegaverse on its head, giving us a Beta heroine determined to make her mark. Joining the Beta Trials to support her sick father, she's thrown into a pack that doesn't want her, especially the possessive Alphas. But here's the twist: their sweet Omega turns out to be her scent match. Cue the angst, forbidden tension, and a slow-burn romance that will make your heart ache in the best way. Violet Fox delivers an emotional, refreshing take on the genre, proving Betas aren't "spares." They're stars.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.
