The Auray WSW-S-VMP Custom Windbuster for Rode Stereo VideoMic Pro provides dual-layered wind protection that is designed to substantially reduce unwanted broadband wind noise and vocal pops with minimal high frequency loss. It has been tailor-made to fit the Rode microphone and can be used over its existing foam windscreen.
Featuring a simulated fur outer layer, the windbuster works in tandem with the acoustic cloth inner lining in the front and sides to protect the microphone from wind. It is effective in minimizing wind noise and plosive sounds, but is most effective in light to moderate breeze conditions (4-17 mph).
Users can generally expect a 30 dB to 40 dB reduction in wind noise with modest dampening of high frequencies, and with dual-layered wind protection, the WSW-S-VMP helps prevent moisture and dirt from damaging your microphone.
