Wanna have a blast and unleash your creative side? Join us on Saturday, May 11th, at 2pm for a special Mother’s Day Dried Flower Arrangement Workshop that’ll leave you feeling inspired and amazed!

Led by our head florist, you’ll learn:

  • How to mix and match different preserved elements and styles.
  • Tips to create a bespoke arrangement that reflects your unique flair.
  • Where to source preserved flowers and the secrets to making them last.

This hands-on workshop is perfect for beginners, so don’t worry if it’s your first time creating floral magic. Whether you’re treating yourself or spending quality time with Mum, this 1.5-hour experience is all about fun, creativity, and making memories.

We’ll provide an extensive collection of preserved materials to choose from, along with all the other supplies you’ll need. At the end of the workshop, you’ll take home your very own forever arrangement—a timeless masterpiece to admire for years to come.

To make the afternoon extra special, enjoy a glass of bubbly and some delicious snacks while you create in the beautiful surroundings of The Mackenzie Studios (209a Symonds Street, Eden Terrace).

So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.
