It is a social and noisy bird that forms large flocks outside the breeding season.Patchewollock Conservation Reserve is a protected area in the Australian state of Victoria. It covers 1,000 hectares of mallee woodland and shrubland and provides habitat for native animals such as the malleefowl, the red-tailed black cockatoo, and the fat-tailed dunnart. The reserve is located near the town of Patchewollock, about 400 km northwest of Melbourne.
