Garnet. Dark cherry, plum and bramble are complemented by a hint of earthiness and baking spice. Smooth and savoury across the palate with dark cherries, delicate acid backbone, toasty oak and fine tactile tannins.

The fruit for this Pinot Noir was sourced solely from our Woolshed Vineyard in the upper Wairau Valley. Grown on a uniquely situated north west facing site; directly below the Delta Dam; hence the 'the Dambuster'. North west facing slopes, clay soils (day/night) temperatures provide slow ripening conditions which enhance structure and increase flavour concentration in the fruit.

When the grapes for this Pinot Noir reached optimal ripeness they were hand picked then gently destemmed spending a week long cold soak. Each parcel was fermented using indigenous yeast and hand plunged to extract vibrant colour, flavour and delicate tannin structure. The wine was then separately pressed into a mix of new and old French oak barrels to mature for 12 months. Natural malolactic fermentation began at the beginning of spring.

The 2016 vintage offered near perfect conditions, with a warm start during flowering leading into a sunny and extended summer. These ideal conditions allowed the fruit to ripen evenly, resulting in fruit with heady aromas and fleshy, bold flavours.

Food Pairing: Slow cooked leg of lamb with roasted potatoes and rich gravy.

American Bully Trial - Honest Review
Color: Cyan NylonFish
I have never gotten a toy that lasted more than an hour when it comes to my baby girl. She is an aggressive chewer and loves anything that squeaks. This definitely helped to keep her entertained and use her teeth. I can confidently say that this toy may last a long time but she has already ripped a piece from it. I didn’t expect anything less since she always knows how to test new toys lol. I would definitely recommend though and will be getting more for her once this one is gone. Thank you!

Hard, heavy, sharp
Color: Cyan NylonFish
This is very durable, but it is also very heavy (our dog likes to throw her toys) and after some chewing, the head and tail are very sharp

2 years later and it’s still going!
Color: Cyan NylonFish, Color: Cyan NylonFish
I have 2 dogs, a 6lb chihuahua (Lolli) and an almost 100lb German shepherd/Belgian Malinois (Uzi). Got this for Uzi, however, Lolli had other plans for it. She literally took it out her mouth and ran to hide it. It’s been over a year, closer to 2 and it’s still hanging on. Attached a photo of Lolli…

Best found

I have a heavy heavy chewer, the only things that has escaped him were items like "kong" solid and rubber but no squeaky. He quickly lost interest in the toy; largely within a week at most and never picks it up again unless really bored. Squeaky toys had a life shelf of a week at best, that is with us taking them away to "preserve" them for longer. So far, this toy, the fish, has been the longest surviving squeaky and the longest at keeping his interest. it has received some cosmetic damage, but nothing that would make you remove the toy from his possession and it STILL squeaks.

Still holding up to my super-chewer!
Color: Cyan NylonFish, Color: Cyan NylonFish
It's a very good product. I would recommend this toy for a heavy chewing dog. My main reasons it's not 5 stars, it's HEAVY and the eyes peeled right off. My pup really likes to throw his toys around, this thing sounds like a cannon ball that's going to go through our floor! He also tries to destroy everything so he was chewing on the eyes and he would have definitely eaten them if I wasn't paying attention. It's not a horrible thing but I obviously don't want him to eat non food things. My dog also likes the squeaker in it, but it's difficult for me to get it to squeak. That's not a big deal though just thought I should mention it. Overall especially for the price, it's a good sturdy product that's cute and it's still holding up. He's chewed parts of the softer areas off a bit, but the rest is very hard so he hasn't made much of a dent. It's also about as big as his head, so he's pretty happy with it!
