Violet petals, warm schist & red fruits dominate the aromas of this textural, layered Pinot Noir. The Palate is silky, savoury, and seductive –spice & lifted red fruits.

Fruit for this wine was sourced from Bannockburn, Gibbston, Northburn, Lowburn & Bendigo sub regions. 2018 was one of the warmest vintages on record. A warm, dry September continued through to November. January was very dry followed by a cool February. Fortunately flowering was good but the dry weather during berry development meant bunch sizes were below average. Harvest was three weeks early in some cases. Fruit quality was excellent.

The winemakers typically pick at 21.5 - 23.5 brix depending on the vineyard. The fruit is handsorted twice and 100% destemmed (which is a change from previous vintages) into 2.5 tonne vats. There is no addition of SO2 at this point and the wines ferment spontaneously. The ferment reaches 25-27 C at peak and grapes are pumped over gently twice a day until 2/3 ferment is over, then twice daily foot plunging. The wine is on skins between 5-8 weeks. Pressings are combined with free run juice and MLF is totally native and no SO2 is added until wine is racked and blended to tank helping to integrate tannins and allow the wine to develop as a whole. Unfiltered & Unfined wine.

The Alex K ‘Five Boroughs‘ Pinot Noir 2018 is identical wine to the The 'Kalex Pinot Noir 2018'. This label was used for UK export.

Gold Star
Size: 1.3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
This cream is truly gentle and healing for a compromised skin barrier. I prefer this cream in the winter, when the weather is dry, and after procedures like microneedling or laser. It has never irritated my skin, and does soothe and heal. The La Roche Posay cicalfate cream is also excellent, I think it is slightly less rich, so I prefer that in humidity or the summer.

Overpriced but it works.
Size: 1.3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I hate that I love this product. It's stupid expensive. But it's great for broken/damaged/recovering skin. I've used it post microneedling and it is the only thing that soothes, hydrates, and doesn't sting raw, red skin. Great for rashes/hives and allergic reactions too. Luckily a thin layer is often enough to do the trick. so it lasts a long time I wouldn't use for everyday moisture, but when your skin is angry, this stuff works. (Overpriced? Yes. Witchcraft? Maybe. Does it work? Yep.)

Extremely effective product
Such a great product. Really works well on chapped, dry hands during winter or to maintain healthy skin in other conditions. There really isn't a scent, it smells kind of plastic-y but that's fine with me when the results are so good. Hard to find in my area, so happy Amazon carries this brand.
