Woodpecker Nesting Box - Camera Ready
Manufactured from Western red Cedar, this woodpecker nesting box will need very little maintenance.
This Woodpecker nesting box is camera ready, it is fitted with a Gardenature camera bracket, Cable tray and cable clips so you can easily slot one of our nest box camera kits into
position should you wish to at a later date. The cable tray keeps cable and connections dry and safely away from the nesting
chamber. A window in the roof allows for sufficient daylight to support a colour image from a camera (camera not included)
The Woodpecker Nest Box
Our nest box for woodpeckers offers market leading quality, durability and great value for money. Handmade in our UK workshops from high grade PEFC Western Red Cedar (responsibly sourced) this woodpecker box design follows guidelines suggested by the RSPB. The nest box hole is 45 mm which has only been partly drilled, there are 4 drain holes in the bird box floor, which is doubly thick in order to allow the woodpecker to excavate a concave for egg laying. The front and top panels are screwed for ease of cleaning out which is recommended to be around the months of September and October.
Woodpecker Facts
Great Spotted Woodpeckers are about the same size as Starlings. They are common birds of parkland and woodland but often
feed in gardens. Great Spotted Woodpecker juveniles have red foreheads that are replaced by black as they molt in the
autumn. Adult males then have a red nape but females have no red on their head at all and all these differences in plumage
are easy to see.
Although attractive, Great Spotted Woodpeckers can make themselves unpopular by drilling holes in nest boxes and eating young
birds. To get them to use nest boxes you need to put a lump of soft wood inside, so that they can hollow out the nest
cavity for themselves. The male sits on the nest at night and a female may well use a near-by nest box to roost in.

- Nestlings fledge after about 20-24 days.

Smart-Looking Pants That Fit Well

Great Boys Suit Vest

I recently had a chance to pick up this boy's suit vest for my upcoming wedding, and it is absolutely perfect. It fits my son so well, running very true to size. The material is so silky smooth and soft, he absolutely loves it. He's autistic and has a thing about different fabrics and this does not irritate or bother him at all. It is going to be perfect over his long sleeve button down shirt. The best looks amazing on him, and the black color is definitely a very dark true black. It is such a great value for the money, you will not be disappointed!
