The Bold Race is our most advanced orienteering shoe yet and it was designed with one goal in mind, to be the fastest and lightest racing shoe for orienteering.
Since the Bold Race is intended for racing, its last is precisely fitting racing last, making it feel like it’s a part of the racer themselves. Together with the shoe’s one-piece upper, VJ's innovative Fitlock-system offers an optimal fit for the shoe by locking the foot from the arch. It also protects the arch from the impacts the foot is facing while running.
The advanced midsole is made of ultralight and energy returning material that will squeeze out every extra second you need in your race performance. In addition, the sole features an energy returning RacePlate that also protects the ball of the foot from sharp rocks and protruding sticks.
The Bold Race features the same Soft Heel technology as seen in Bold X, which reduces pressure from the heel bone and Achilles tendon and makes the heel fit like a glove.
The Superior Contact -outsole features 13 star-shaped carbon steel studs that ensure grip on slippery roots, moss and leaves you come across in the forest.
