What is the point of a large intercooler core that can not effectively take advantage of the increased volume and surface area? IE's Flow Distribution System (FDS) places precisely shaped fins inside the end tank to force airflow evenly across the entire core to distribute the heat more effectively and recover faster. When drastically reducing intake air temperatures (IAT) for the most significant power gains possible, IE's FDS technology is the proven cheat code.

To seamlessly connect to the intercooler's larger 70mm sized inlet and outlet, our IE Aluminum Charge Pipe Kit (IETPCK6) is required. This combination increases flow and provides an enhances the entire charge air system, delivering high-velocity airflow for unparalleled performance.

This intercooler is designed for big boost. The end tank inlets/outlets and aluminum charge pipes are CNC machined with flat-stop edge and beveled grooves for a high-friction surface that grips your hoses and locks them in place for good.

Every unit undergoes a strict post-welding multi-point critical inspection and is tested in a leak-down station. Despite its impressive size, our race series intercooler has been designed for a hassle-free installation without any permanent modifications. To ensure a precise fit, IE engineers have employed advanced 3D scanning equipment and rapid prototyping techniques to ensure a tight, yet perfect bolt-in replacement.
DEFEAT HEAT SOAK
Heat soak occurs when the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) generated by the turbo exceed the cooling capacity of the intercooler and passes hot air to the engine. The result is a noticeable loss of power during acceleration and long pulls. Our IE Race Intercooler dramatically increases the core size and useable area of the core with FDS technology to significantly reduced intake air temperatures consistently lower than OEM and competitor intercoolers while increasing flow.
FDS DYNAMICS
FLIR Thermal Equipment and advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software were used to engineer the application-specific FDS fin design. The thermal imagery details air distribution evenly through the core in real time; notice the hot inlet air flowing evenly to the top and across the intercooler core. The better this flow is distributed, the more efficiently the intercooler operates and the speed at which heat is expelled.
FLOW GAIN
To prove the positive effects the intercooler design and FDS system have on airflow and pressure drop, flow testing was performed on the IE Race Intercooler VS. our standard IE FDS Intercooler option. Test results show consistent gains of up to 81.6% more flow over our alternate intercooler offering. This increase details the Race Intercooler's efficiency and capability to provide optimal cooling without negatively impacting airflow demands on any build level.
INTAKE AIR TEMP (IAT)
This graph details the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) over consecutive runs on a Stage 3 Hybrid Turbo S4 at over 650WHP. Three wide-open throttle pulls were made back-to-back on an IE Race FDS Intercooler VS. our standard IE FDS Intercooler (IETPCK1). The result was up to 11.4% lower IAT over our alternate performance intercooler design.

Make sure you read the terms and conditions and don't let them off the hook
Asurion is counting on the fact that you don't know how to read. They made the claim process aggravating and as difficult as possible. I CAN read and had to review the terms and conditions with them on the phone and threaten to involve an attorney before they would honor the coverage. They tried to say my product was not portable, when the word "portable" is literally in the name of the product. Then they tried to say the the accidental drop was not covered, but it clearly states in the terms and conditions that an accidental drop and a cracked screen is a covered event. I buy the coverage almost every time I am offered it, but I will be rethinking that going forward and Amazon should consider finding a different company to issue the protection plans for their products because I fear this is the beginning of a lot of complaints. I have filed a claim in the past and it was very straightforward and easy, but they must have a new company managing the plans now, because it was anything but easy. If I was an older person who was not tech savy, or who just took someone's word at face value, I would be out the cost of my item and the protection plan. BUYER BEWARE

Cover yourself!
My HP printer just stopped printing. Spent over 4 1/2 with HP Support doing all kinds of technical experiments with even the most complex Factory Restarts, this printer kept saying everything was working but it wouldn't print. HP finally declared it a hardware defective; told I needed a new printer and to recycle this one (less than 1 1/2 years old - don't make like they used to!). Called Asurion, who immediately processed a claim and arranged for a pickup of the defective printer since I can't drive. Fast quality service worth every penny if you're buying any kind of devices in today's world.
