藜麥是「無麥麩」食品龍頭，作為主要食糧有極悠久的歷史，屬菜類種籽而非草類穀物，甚少經過基因改造。其營養及生態多元化 (biodiversity) 的價值近年來日益受到認同，聯合國食物農業組織 (UNFAO) 甚至將2013年認定為「國際藜麥年」！
藜麥的優點除了無麵筋更容易消化外，比起米和小麥有更高蛋白質，更低糖份和血糖生成指數 (Glycemic Index)。藜麥富含氨基酸、錳、鎂、磷、鋅、植物固醇、類黃酮及抗氧化物質。三色藜麥含黑、白、紅三種顏色藜麥，營養與口感豐富。
QUINUA REAL 特級有機藜麥全部於南美保利維亞海拔3,600米鹽田高原有機種植，由意大利公司包裝出口，獲歐盟有機認證和互惠貿易 (Fair Trade) 認證。
食用小貼士：由於藜麥屬菠菜類植物，連種籽也含少量植酸和草酸鹽，這些物質有機會捆綁礦物質令身體難於吸收，所以在煮食前，最好先泡浸過夜或數小時，甚至到發芽為止，將泡水倒掉然後再加水煮食，建議用一湯匙藜麥兩湯匙水的比例煮15-30分鐘，比例和水份可隨個人口味調節。
