The Husky Brute is loaded with features. With the Smart Stop technology, it uses a planetary gear timing system which shuts down the power to the motor before the nut reaches the hard stop point, eliminating any hard mechanical stop or stress on the jack. Reduces current draw and adds longevity to the system. It also features a wireless remote giving you the convenience of operating your jack from up to 40 feet away to assist in leveling. Less Friction - The Brute is the only power jack in its price range that has a ball screw, which reduces friction compared to the ACME screw used on some other brands. The ball bearings roll through the threads on the Brute's shaft and nut. Allows the motor to work less, draw less amperage, create less heat, reduce noise and increase motor and jack life. The Brute is powerful, with a capacity of up to 4,500 pounds. It's fast, with a travel speed of 10 inches in as little as 38 seconds. It does the job, with an 18 inch full stroke and 6 inch drop down leg. It's tough, with hardened steel gears. It's secure, with weather protected switches and a water resistant enclosure. It's versatile, fitting all 2 inch and 2-5/16 inch A-Frame couplers currently using a 2-1/4 inch outer diameter jack. It's economical, with a low 25 Ampere draw at rated load. And it's convenient, with three LED work lights, a built-in connector storage bracket not found on any other power jack, and a 30 Ampere inline circuit breaker fuse and inline fuse holder. The Husky Brute is the new standard in electric tongue jacks. Features include control On/Off, Up/Down. FCC, IC approved. Assist in hitching/unhitching. Makes leveling more convenient when leveling front/rear. Control the jack from inside while leveling refrigerator.

Works great in my setup
I got this for my work desk, and it does exactly what it's advertised to do: it holds my laptop (which is 16 inches). And it doesn't wobble and shake whenever I type on my external keyboard (I use a Unicomp Ultra Classic, which uses buckling springs, so I'm putting a decent amount of force into each keypress - if a stand is not stable, it will be immediately obvious to me), and I can even move my mouse underneath the stand without running into any problems. (Before, when my laptop was sitting directly on the desk, it was annoying how it made me move my keyboard around and inhibited my range of mouse movement, but now I can place my keyboard right where I want it and use my mouse as I please.) The stand feels very sturdy and well-constructed, and it keeps my laptop at eye level. Height-adjust would be nice, but I have yet to find a good quality adjustable laptop stand, so I'll just use books to adjust it if the need arises. The box it comes in is also quite nice. This thing freed up desk space where I needed it and is unlikely to ever fail (there are no moving parts), so I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a laptop stand.

Beautiful design
Simple, functional and beautifully designed, I'm glad I bought it. (not a five starts just because I thought it was higher, but again, my fault for not reviewing the specs first)

Not Your Average Laptop Stand
One of the things that I always worry about with stands for my computer is how sturdy they will be. If they aren't sturdy, they aren't really worth having. This is super sturdy -- I don't feel any bounce or flex when I work on it. It's also super well made and looks good sitting on my desk. Both of those things make this one of the best stands that I've used. I just wish it were adjustable.
