W.F.A vs Ultralight — which to pick?
Ultralight uses ripstop fabric for the lightest possible weight (outdoor/travel feel). W.F.A uses recycled rPET with plant-based leather accents for a more refined business-meets-tech aesthetic. Pick Ultralight for minimum weight; W.F.A for a polished look in office and coworking environments.
What's rPET?
Recycled polyester made from post-consumer plastic bottles. The same material chemistry as standard polyester, but produced from waste rather than virgin petroleum. Native Union sources only 100% rPET for the W.F.A exterior — a meaningful sustainability metric.
How is the plant-based leather quality?
Genuinely premium. Native Union's plant-leather has the hand-feel of real leather with similar durability, plus a stable colour finish that doesn't fade with use. Used for accents (zipper pulls, branded tabs), not the full sleeve body.
Will it fit a 14" MacBook Pro with a case?
Form-fitted for the bare MacBook Pro 14". A thin sleeve case may still fit; a chunky rubber case will be tight. Best results with the MacBook bare or with a minimal skin.
