Barbeito "Três Pipas" Bastardo Reserva Velha, Meio SecoBastardo was extinct in Madeira for many years. Its recovery was due to Tefilo Cunha, who, in 2004, planted again vines of that variety on his family's land in So Jorge, in the north of the island. Ricardo Diogo harvested the Bastardo for the first time in 2007. For this blend Reserva Velha added three wines, the first one from Curtimenta of the year 2010 and two others from Bica Aberta from the years 2009 and 2011 that gave rise to 2,139 bottles, all of them numbered.
