I grew up following the west coast bands and single coil guitar sounds. My favorite was the Hawaiian detective show driving a Red Ferrari.   I asked Jerry West of CAT 5 band to join me in the project to capture the diverse east coast guitar sound. We concluded the East Coast Guitar had to incorporate a diverse play list of music genera influenced by New Orleans, Muscle Shoals, Detroit, Memphis, Nashville, New Jersey, New York, Atlanta, Carolinas, down the east coast to Miami and many rural communities east of the Mississippi.  

Jerry West has been testing a unique Rudder Guitar prototype on the Cat 5 2023 tour. The resulting melting pot of such diverse sounds is the East Coast Guitar built by Rudder Guitar called the LoveMaker OD 73 or simply OD 73. The OD 73 Design allows the player in all bands to produce these sounds performed today by the legendary beach bands and others. They are spinning out sounds originating from the Eye of the storm in Myrtle Beach Ocean Drive SC across the country now!
