This exquisitely designed book accompanies the exhibition, Boro - The Art of Necessity, which tells the story of artistry born from hardship. It traces history and memories through patched and mended fabrics – a Japanese textile culture in which no scrap of material was wasted and whose economical creations were passed down through generations.

The BORO book contains photos documenting key pieces from the collection of folklorist, archaeologist and ethnologist Chuzaburo Tanaka (1933–2013). This publication surveys the history of boro as textiles but also examines boro’s changing social, economic and aesthetic status.

Included are critical texts by Staffan Appelgren, Petra Holmberg, Philip Warkander, and Yoshiko Iwamoto Wada with her essay on the etymological and cultural evolution of boro, titled “What is Boro?” Photo-documentation by Kyoichi Tsuzuki.

About the exhibition:

As the first museum in Europe to exhibit Chuzaburo Tanaka’s collection of boro textiles, the Museum of Far Eastern Antiquities will be showing a unique collection of boro objects loaned from the Amuse Museum in Tokyo. The collection has previously been on view in New York, Beijing and Sydney. The museum is currently closed, but the exhibition is ready to be presented as soon as the museum can reopen and will be on view until 15 August 2021.

The exhibition also features Swedish artists’ own interpretations of boro as art. Newly produced works by fashion brand Rave Review and poet Burcu Sahin will be on view. The Swedish-Japanese artist Takao Momiyama’s contemporary boro objects will also be shown among the 100 boro objects, a selection of patched and mended clothes from Swedish museum collections. The exhibition is designed by acclaimed Stockholm-based design and architecture studio TAF.

Great toothpaste.
Size: Pack of 1, 4 Ounce, Set name: B. Whitening
This is by far really great toothpaste. I can tell the difference in the color of my teeth. And sometimes my teeth are kinda sensitive to harsh toothpaste. But this is good for sensitive teeth. And minty flavor is not to strong either. Try it. I hope it works for you as well as It does for me. 🤗

Gentle and Pleasant to Use
Size: Pack of 2, 1.3 Ounce, Set name: A. Ela Mint
This toothpaste feels gentle on sensitive teeth and has a clean, refreshing taste without being too strong. The texture is smooth, and it leaves my mouth feeling fresh after brushing. I also like that it uses nano hydroxyapatite instead of fluoride, which makes it an interesting alternative to traditional toothpaste. Overall, a good toothpaste for sensitive teeth and daily use.

Size: 4.2 Ounce (Pack of 1), Size: 4.2 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I’ve been using the MySmile Fluoride Free Toothpaste for a few weeks now, and I’m genuinely impressed. I wanted something that could help with sensitivity and enamel health without fluoride or harsh chemicals, and this formula really delivers. The nano-hydroxyapatite ingredient is a great alternative to fluoride it helps strengthen enamel and noticeably reduces sensitivity over time. My teeth feel smoother and cleaner after brushing, and I’ve noticed less discomfort when drinking cold water or eating sweets. The Misty Mint flavor is light, natural, and refreshing not overpowering or artificial. It leaves my mouth feeling fresh for hours, and since it’s SLS-free, it doesn’t cause any irritation or dryness. The texture is creamy, and it foams just enough to feel effective without being harsh. it’s made with natural ingredients, which gives me peace of mind about using it daily. The packaging feels clean and modern, and the 4.2oz size is perfect for travel or keeping on the counter. ✅ Great for sensitive teeth ✅ Fluoride-free & enamel-safe ✅ Fresh, natural mint flavor ✅ Gentle and effective clean If you’re looking for a non-toxic, sensitivity-friendly toothpaste that actually strengthens and brightens your teeth, MySmile is an excellent choice.
