Beach music lovers shagged to the Caravelles, the Riveras, the Catalinas, The Swinging Medallions and the The Sensational Epics, live on stage, just to name a few of the many great acts of the decade This

Constructed in 1960, The Pawleys Pavilion, unlike its three predecessors, boasted generous porches, modern indoor restrooms, and a larger dance floor and bar. Beach music lovers shagged to the Caravelles, the Riveras, the Catalinas, The Swinging Medallions and the The Sensational Epics, live on stage, just to name a few of the many great acts of the decade... This came to a sad end on June 16th 1970 when an arsonist burned the Pavilion to the ground. No one was ever arrested.
